Gran Selezione is the highest designation in the Chianti Classico appellation, requiring the highest quality vineyards and longest ageing regimen to achieve Gran Selezione status. Cecchi began their Gran Selezione program in 2014 and the 2017 vintage is Cecchi’s third Gran Selezione vintage. It is Cecchi’s only 100% Sangiovese wine, showcasing the quality and purity of the varietal.
Aging
15 months in French Oak, followed by 3 months in cement and minimum 1 year in bottle before release.
