A unique expression of Merlot, rarely found in Southern Italy, comparable to the finest Bordeaux's. This is the only international grape variety cultivated by the winery and has remained the highest scoring wine since the first vintage in 1999.
Minimum 18 months in French barriques of medium toast, and 48 months in bottle.
After de-stemming and pressing, maceration lasts 21 days at a controlled temperature of 79⁰F. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel and malolactic fermentation in wood.

Perfumes of blackberry preserves are evident, as are sweet spices, eucalyptus, vanilla, and coffee.
The tannins are sweet, fine and soft, and very well balanced. The finish has a long persistence of sensations of red fruits, spices, chocolate and roasted coffee.
