Only a few producers use this vineyard, and certainly, Ramonet’s Ruchottes are standout - often competing with neighboring Grands Crus. It is located East of “La Grande Montagne” or the hill close by and owes its name to the loose rocks or “Ruchottes” which accumulated from the hill over time. It was Domaine’s first purchase in 1930 and it contains some of the oldest vines in Ramonet’s stock; through consistent replanting, this “Ruchottes” is of very high quality, with an opulent texture and perfumy character.
White
Tasting the wine reveals concentration and abundance of dry extract that has few peers in white Burgundy. Mouthcoating appeal, generous oak is intertwined with notes of caramel and Indian spices, embedded in a fine texture and rich body.
