Overview

The 2016 vintage is a gorgeous Blanc de Noirs made from Pinot Noir grown on both of our estate vineyards. These world-class, cool climate vineyards are proving that they can produce serious bubbles in addition to classic Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays.

Aging

31 months en tirage. Disgorged February 2021. Dosage is 5 grams per liter.

Fermentation

Barrel fermentation and 100% malolactic fermentation added to the complexity of the base wine before fermenting in bottle using traditional “Méthode Champenoise”

Winemaker

Steve Fennell

Tasting Notes

Style

Complex, Elegant, Fresh, Fruit Forward, Balanced

Flavor

Citrus, Lemon, Lychee, Orange, Peach, Pear

Aroma

Opulent sparkling aromas of toasty berry fruits, blood orange, with hints of cassis and brown sugar.

Taste

Elegant, precise, and wonderfully nuanced, the 2016 stands out for its depth and persistence. Fresh flowers, blood orange, and apricots are some of the many notes that are layered into this elegant yet commanding wine. Barrel fermentation adds to the complexity of the base wine before fermenting in bottle traditionally.
