Covering seven California counties, this is the largest wine region and is known as the “food basket of the world.” Crops grown here include cotton, asparagus, almonds, pistachios, oranges, peaches, garlic, tangerines, tomatoes, kiwis, hay, alfalfa, raisins and of course, wine.
