Syrah and Shiraz are the same grape. Known as Australia’s national grape, Shiraz is the country’s most widely produced wine. It tends to be more easy drinking, featuring ripe fruit and soft textures whereas Syrah leans more earthy, spicy, tart and features a robust structure. Both are rich in notes of raspberry, black pepper and often deeply colored with a thick, full mouthfeel.
