Red Blend

Red blends are comprised of several red grape varietals, in any combination. Bordeaux blends often feature the classic five Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. When given the opportunity to blend different varietals together, winemakers are using techniques to produce well-integrated wines that utilize the best qualities from each varietal.
